The Burud community is a small indigenous community of bamboo weavers in Belgaum, Karnataka. Their houses and retail stores are in close proximity. Their work and personal life is closely etched.

LIG houses are designed to be a studio apartments to incorporate their daily chores and work
MEDIUM INCOME HOUSING
MIG houses are designed in a larger cluster to form a common backyard used for bamboo curing and social gathering.
Houses also have externally accessible workshops.
HIGH- INCOME HOUSING
HIG houses are individually designed houses of the higher income groups. Houses have 2 bedrooms and higher floor. They also have a courtyard which is used for storing finished products.
